Copier Leasing in San Jose

blindfoldThe copier lease

The copier lease is one of the most important aspects of buying a new copier. Here are items to be evaluated before you sign your next copier agreement:

–How does the lease end? Many copier leases are known as “buck-out” leases allowing users to pay a dollar and own the machine at the end of the lease. Keep in mind that service and supplies will still cost money as will repairs and calculate this appropriately.

Generally the other end of lease choice is to return the copier to the seller to be refurbished and resold to another option. If you chose this option, make sure that you understand how the machine must be returned and who will pay for the shipping costs.

–How many copies do you make? While a ½ cent per black and white copy might sound great, make sure that you look at the other copier/printer costs. If you make a lot of color copies, you may want to look at a machine that prints small amounts of color on black and white copies for less money than it costs for full-page color prints.

–What about the service agreement? Compare and contrast servicing and supply options. The amount of services and supplies that you need depends upon your usage. Make sure that you are not going to over-run limits and incur significant additional costs.

Copier leases give many businesses the opportunity to purchase premium machines with needed features over time.

Good luck on your next copier.
