Here we go, the Xerox WorkCentre 4150 copier is not really our favorite product we sell, it is far too close in price and speed to the Xerox WorkCentre 4260 which is a superior product.  The copier engine is decent, the copier works fine, but it has an awful interface compared to the Xerox WorkCentre 4260 and is slower and about the same price.  So, why does Xerox still have this WorkCentre product?

CERTIFICATIONS!

The Xerox WorkCentre 4150 has been certified by various certifying boards like Common Criteria, and the level of certifications will often take a half a million dollars and a year or longer.  Now, as the WorkCentre 4260 is going through these certifications, they need to have products which already meet the certifications.  Therefore, they can’t really get rid of the older products.  Our most honest review is that if you are looking at a WorkCentre 4150 copier, you should actually be looking at a WorkCentre 4260 copier here in San Jose.
