Do you print a lot of color? If you answered yes then you may have heard of Xerox’s new line of Colorqube copiers. These babies are designed to keep color costs as efficient and low as the market can offer.

One way that Xerox is keeping Colorqube printing so low is through three tiered billing. I think it’s pretty innovative. So up until now you have two prints, black and white, and color. You pay lower costs for black and white, but if there is any color at all you are charged for a full color print. With three tiered billing Xerox has added a third category called useful color. So if you accidentally print a blue hyperlink, or you feel like putting a color logo on mostly black and white pages you can now do it. The cost for useful color is much closer to a black and white page.
