The first thing that you should consider is how much the person “giving” you this free copier will make from the toner sales. Compare the price of their product to that of similar toner cartridges on the market to see just how expensive this kind of deal is.

The second thing to note is the condition of the copier. How new is it? Is it a discontinued model? Does it work well? These are all questions that you should ask and subsequently research before entering what could potentially be a Faustian bargain with a San Jose company.

The last point of consideration should be how old the copier is. Copiers that have been discontinued for five years likely no longer have parts available, which means that you may be purchasing a new copier in as little as a year to accommodate this.
