With such a sophisticated, well thought out machine at their disposal it surprises me that more businesses don’t get their employees trained to use it. Normally only the basic functions of a copier get used and it’s full potential isn’t reached. When you get it set up you can often have the salesman show the office how it all works at the same time.
This is the type of thing that happens all of the time. You need a 1/4 page flier for your salespeople to pass out. So someone takes the flier, copies it, shrinks it, shrinks it again, then cuts and pasts it. It takes 20 minutes and the process degraded the quality of your marketing material. With the proper training they would have known to use the paper saver feature and could have produced a better product in three minutes. Training can prevent this kind of thing and save hours and hours of unnecessary work.
